My first Harley - 2002 FLHTCI Electro Glide Classic
I purchased this 2002 Harley from a private party in June, 2008. It had about 32,000 miles. It must have been one of the last Classics to come with a carburetor! I rode it all summer. It took me about 1000 miles of riding before I felt somewhat confident riding at 900 pound motorcycle. Even at that point I still had a lot to learn about riding safely on a large motorcycle.

Harley Davidson 2009 Dyna
This was my fourth Harley Davidson. At the time I rode my 2011 Road Glide most of the time, but I thought a lighter weight Dyna would be something fun to ride around town. I only had this Dyna for about a year. I purchased it in Arizona from a neighbor, but I almost always took the Road Glide. The Road Glide is way more comfortable. The Dyna was fun to ride, but it mostly just sat in the garage. So I sold it to someone that wanted to add a sidecar to it for his wife.
2011 Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra CVO
I purchased this Road Glide in the fall of 2011 from Wild Prairie Harley Davidson in Minnesota. In the first four years I put on over 40,000 miles riding in the midwest and two trips to the west coast. I now keep it at our vacation home in Arizona and take it about once a week, during the winter, on rides with several friends from Mountainbook Village. Our day rides average around about 150-200 miles with lunch being one of the highlights of the day. The scenery in the area surrounding Gold Canyon is beautiful and most of the roads have some twistys along with some amazing views.
The last picture on the lower right is from Falcon Air Field in Mesa, AZ. On a charity fundraising ride, bikers were given the opportunity to ride the runway at any speed we wanted. It was the "first" and "last" time I had the bike up to 100 MPH. Thinking back on that day, it was actually kind of a crazy thing to do. But I was much younger then!

2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra CVO
In 2022 I had the chance to purchase a used 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide Ultra CVO. It just happens to be almost the same color as my 2011 Road Glide. I took my first trip during the summer of 2022 to Michigan with five other friends. We first rode from Minneapolis to Milwaukee and took the ferry across Lake Michigan to Muskegon. That night the group stayed with one of the riders that lives in Grand Haven, MI. From there we rode north to Sault Sainte Marie and around north end of Lake Michigan. Then down into Wisconsin and back to Minnesota. The trip took four days and we rode about 1300 miles.
I did not get very many pictures of Lake Michigan. That will have to happen next time. But we rode some great motorcycle roads and visited some neat places on the trip.
