From the Desert to the Lakes and Back
Living in the desert climate of Arizona was a test for us during January through May. We loved it so much we decided we wanted to spend our winters in Gold Canyon.
Our desert experience started in the fall of 2015 with a used RV and a reservation at the Arizonian RV Resort with a view of Superstition Mountains. The first picture on the left is from our RV site. The other pictures are from our new home. In May we purchased a home in Mountain Brook Village. We loved of view of the mountains and found a home where we could sit on our back patio and see of a couple of the peaks of the Superstition Mountains. We now have a yard with cactus, other desert plants and a palm tree.

We come to Arizona in the winter to avoid the snow, but once in a while we can see snow on top of Superstition Mountain. Thankfully, the snow is at the top of Superstition Mountain and not in our yard or driveway. The snow in the picture is at an elevation of about 5000 feet. Our house is only at 1800 feet.
We will be back in the midwest enjoying Bay Lake again in the spring (after the ice melts).
