2012 Rides
After considering a number of trips this year that included:
1. Riding around Lake Superior and visiting the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee
2. A West Coast Trip to Baniff, Vancouver, Washington, Oregon and Idaho
3. Following the Mississippi River from St Paul south and then to the Florida Keys
4. Ride the Pacific Highway from Vancouver, BC to southern California.
I was able to take the trip to the west coast and ride the Pacific Highway, from the very northwestern corner of Washington to the Redwoods. The ride also included a stop in the Black Hills the week before the official start of Sturgis Week. I hope to get pictures up from that trip with Jason, Brian and Dennis.
There were a number of shorter local trips too as you can see below.

Minnesota State HOG Rally in Brainerd
Just got back from some great riding around the Brainerd Lakes Area. I had to head back early on Saturday and missed the final evening events at the rally, but really enjoyed riding the roads and the curves around the many lakes in that area. Of course we did a few U-turns and checked out a number of breakfast and lunch restaurants with friends from the Wild Prairie HOG Chapter. This picture was taken by our friend Kathy as she rode behind her husband Bob, as we cruise back into Brainerd late Saturday afternoon.
By the way Kathy does ride her own Harley, but was given the task of "picture taker" that day.

Million Mile Monday (Also Included Sunday)
Harley Million Mile Monday 2012 to Milwaukee
Eight bikes left for Milwaukee, WI on Sunday. We rode down the Mississippi to Winona, LaCrosse then across Wisconsin on highway 14. We arrived in Milwaukee about 4:00 pm. I was fortunate to be able to spend the evening with John & Cathy Mortier, parents of our daughter-in-law Melissa. Below are some pictures of the trip. It was a great time with friends and family.

Plum City, WI - Saturday, June 2, 2012
Enjoyed being with a number of friends on a trip to Plum City, WI. After a nice lunch at Mollys on Main in Plum City we relaxed around the city pond across the street from Mollys. The food was good and the wait was short even though we had more than thirty riders in our group roll in at the same time. After a fun ride lead by John Garley on all back roads we ended up back at Prescott, WI. Most of the riders had either headed home by then or followed Chris Hawver back to the cities. John, Elaine, Sam, Dena, & Lee headed to Afton for some ice cream. Click Here for more pictures of the group ride to Plum City, WI
Blessing of the Bikes - April 29, 2012
I participated in the second annual Blessing of the Bikes event at the Wild Prairie Harley Dealer. This was the first official ride for the Wild Prairie HOG Chapter. There were 87 bikes that left from the dealership for Henderson, MN for lunch. I'm with Chris Hawver, Wild Prairie HOG Director, Curt Quiner, chapter Chaplin, and the Quiner family as we give the riders the final instructions for the ride to Henderson, MN.
Bikers lining up for the ride after the bike/rider Blessing
After the brief program and a time of prayer for bikers, the riders started lining up for the ride. It was a cloudy 50 degrees at 1:30 pm as the riders eagerly lined up for the fifty mile ride to our lunch destination.
